Light for the World and the National Union of Disabled Persons of Uganda commissioned a national level research study to ascertain the employment situation of persons with disabilities and assess the prospect for a quota employment policy for Uganda in light of the experiences of other countries implementing quotas in similar contexts as Uganda.

It is expected that the evidence and lessons from this research will inform the process of reviewing disability employment laws in Uganda and generate actionable strategies for implementing the new quota law and improving the livelihoods status of persons with disabilities in Uganda.
