OUTBOX EDU INTERNSHIP (4 POSITIONS)

Outbox is a learning and practising community for technology. We bring together the infrastructure, people, knowledge and capital that supports African Entrepreneurs through the growth of inclusive communities that foster talent and create value where we operate.

Outbox EDU is an initiative we run at Outbox, where we conduct accelerated learning boot camps in the fields of software engineering for individuals seeking to start careers in the tech space, and e-business skilling/digital marketing for small and growing businesses seeking to utilize digital technology to enhance their operations.

Outbox in collaboration with Light for the World, under the Make 12.4% Work Initiative is conducting a co-creation process to learn more about accessibility for people with disabilities in ICT training. This internship role has been created to support this process.

Role

In this role, you will support Outbox’s efforts in disability inclusion, including developing and delivering content to the participants in our Outbox EDU initiative. You will be supporting curriculum development, giving feedback, looking at the inclusion lens, and applying the disability inclusion lens to the various aspects of the Outbox EDU initiative.

Scope of work:

  • Contribute to curriculum and content development, based on learnings and data on disability inclusion, utilizing student feedback, and ensuring that all the relevant latest trends and best practices are covered.
  • Working closely with other instructors, provide purposeful lessons and class activities, while developing and managing internal tools to support the Outbox EDU curriculum.

Requirement(s)

  • Hands-on experience using digital tools for business, using digital marketing or knowledge of web development fundamentals with a partiality for JavaScript.
