In partnership with Light for the World and the Make 12.4% Work Initiative, Send a Cow Uganda is seeking to recruit an Administrative Assistant Intern with a Disability based at our Head Office in Kampala. Below is a detailed job description of what the intern will be expected to do:

Key Tasks and Responsibilities
Receive incoming and outgoing telephone calls as and when required.
Receive and attend to visitors whilst they await appointments.
Oversee the maintenance of the switchboard system, notifying the service providers immediately of any problems with the telephone lines or with the operating system.
Ensure that the reception area and the entire office is kept neat and tidy
Maintain a proper filling system at the Country Office.
Maintain communication within the Country Office.
Draw up lists and budgets of office supplies requirements and ensure they are replenished on time
Manage the staff attendance system, by uploading new users, removal of exiting staff, generate monthly reports
Organize logistics for office meetings, functions, retreats, parties.
Generate local purchase orders for all office procurements.
Receive and review invoices for completeness before submitting for payment
Generate procurement requests for stationary and other office supplies at the Head Office
Ensure that all office equipment is engraved and functioning properly.
Organize for repairs and service of all office equipment’s
Coordinate the issuing of items from the store
Receive and verify all items delivered to ensure they fit the required specifications
Any other duties assigned.

A bachelor’s degree or Diploma in business administration or any related field.
