INTERNSHIP/ TRAINEE OPPORTUNITY WITH GIZ

The Deutsche Gesellschaft fϋr Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH is owned by the Federal republic of Germany with International operations in Uganda, GIZ Implements commissions for the German government and other national and international, public and private
sector clients within the framework of the international Cooperation between the Federal Republic of Germany and the Government of Uganda.

Job title: INTERNSHIP/TRAINEE – MONITORING AND EVALUATION GIZ Office
Reports to: Governance Advisor
Job Location: Kampala

A. Key Responsibilities
The intern is responsible for;
▪ Entry of data into a data base;
▪ Accuracy of the data entered;
▪ Support of Governance Advisor wherever necessary.

The Intern within this context, s/he fulfills the following tasks;

B. Specific Tasks
Support in data entry
▪ Creation of overview what data is to be entered into data base;
▪ Verification and harmonization of data;
▪ Entering of data into data mask.

Support in M&E and organisation of standardized trainings for civil society organisations
▪ Support of M&E advisor in managing programme documents on DMS as well as sourcing
them from different advisors;
▪ Support of logistics and organisation of standardized trainings.

Other duties/additional tasks
▪ Performs other duties and tasks at the request of the superior.

C. Required qualifications, competences and experience
Qualifications
▪ At least Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Data Science, M&E or Political Science or
Social Science;
▪ Experience in working with data bases;
▪ Experience in knowledge management.

Other knowledge, additional competences
▪ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
▪ Excellent command of English language (oral and written);
▪ Self-reliant and motivated;
▪ Accurate and attention to detail;
▪ Ability to manage time efficiently;
▪ Dependable, punctual and trustworthy.
